The Crown and Sceptre is a proper community pub with a fabulous pub garden on the edge of Stroud. We have real ales available, including two provided by local brewery Uley Ales and tasty rotating guest beers and cider.
EVERYONE is welcome! Enjoy a chat, a relaxing newspaper read, perhaps a board game, a quiz, or enjoy our food and live events, including the full Sky / TNT package, showing Televised Football, Rugby and Cricket matches, including women’s teams, in HIGH DEFINITION!

We’re launching a new initiative for artists that play at the pub!
We’re a pretty small pub and limited in what we can afford to pay bands to play, we don’t want to charge on the door and would like to continue to provide free gigs as standard. With all of this in mind, we’ve added a button to the till that allows for customers to ‘Buy The Band a Drink‘, a standard £5 button and also a ‘Pay What You Can’ button. It’s like a digital bucket for the band. ALL proceeds go to the people performing, this is in addition to what we are already paying bands – bit like a tip.
Gigging is expensive and we would like to ease that financial burden as much as we can, hopefully some of you will help us with that!
